Parascript helps high-volume mailers, European posts, the United States Postal Service, and major corporations throughout the world to locate, recognise, and interpret addresses on letters, flats, and parcels with the highest read rates and accuracy. Parascript’s suite of image analysis and address recognition products reads handwritten and machine-printed addresses and detects different types of indicia on envelope images to eliminate postage revenue losses. The suite includes a customisable Video Coding System (VCS) that minimises user keystrokes and increases keying speed and accuracy. Postal operators are able to deploy a CEN open-interface compliant address reading and video-coding solution quickly and efficiently.

The suite comprises:

Parascript AddressScript: A complete solution for automated address recognition cross-validates data against postal databases, ensuring the highest accuracy and deliverability. AddressScript surpasses all other available OCR engines in read rates and accuracy, reads both handwritten and printed text, and recognises addresses across the entire mail stream, including letters, flats and parcels.

Parascript AddressParcel: AddressParcel recognises destination addresses on parcels of all shapes, sizes and quality. Automating the parcel portion of the mail stream makes it possible for mailing companies to process greater volumes of mail more accurately, reducing manual data-entry costs.

Parascript AddressKey: A customisable and user-friendly VCS minimises user keystrokes, increases keying speed, and helps operators deliver more accurate results. AddressKey optimises the manual validation of unrecognisable addresses and seamlessly integrates with the majority of OCR/VCS systems.

Parascript StampVerify: Streamlines automatic indicia location and detection for envelope images, including stamps, meter marks, facing identification marks, and information-based indicia. StampVerify reduces operating costs and increases mail sorting efficiency by verifying that proper postage has been paid – and permits obtained – to allow items to enter the domestic mail-delivery network.
