Hoza Logistic Solutions

Increasing attention to working conditions, in terms of the well-being and safety of employees in recent years, has encouraged manufacturers of logistics equipment to adjust their focus – from producing a practical and useful logistics product that meets all functional and technical requirements, to equipment that meets all requirements in terms of function, safety and ergonomic use. Hoza Logistic Solutions, developer and manufacturer of logistics equipment, realised the necessity of the latter and has adjusted its way of designing the product range. A prime example of this philosophy in product is the recently developed and manufactured post cart for La Poste, France.

Considering all technical and functional requests, and the complexity in the Programme of Requirements, Hoza concentrated on the following aspects of function:

  • Transport cart with two levels that would be used by the postman in order to fill the postbags from the sorting units;
  • Bottom platform set to a fixed height;
  • The top platform must remain at a certain height when it is unloaded;
  • As the load on the top platform increases, the platform has to be lowered to such an extent that the top of the load in the postbag remains at the same ergonomic height as it is filled;
  • When the load on the top platform declines, the platform must be raised to the same extent so that the postman always works at the optimum ergonomic height;
  • At maximum load position, it is possible to lock the top platform.

Our product developers were able to design a cart that complied 100 percent with the demands of the Programme of Requirements.

Since the beginning of 2008 around 10,000 post carts have been in service at approximately 500 post-sorting centres in France. The health, safety and ergonomic aspects in all associated works have been to the complete satisfaction of the customer. The extent and volume of damage to equipment and related subsequent numbers of injuries to staff have declined greatly through these developments.
