DHL to upgrade freight capabilities at Budapest Airport

DHL Express has signed a strategic agreement for the development of a new state-of-the-art freight and warehouse facility located next to Terminal 1 (T1) at Budapest Airport in Hungary. UPU unveils online tool for helping posts reduce their carbon footprint

The Universal Postal Union (UPU) has launched a new online tool for analyzing and reporting annual postal emissions. The Online Solution for Carbon Analysis and Reporting (OSCAR) industry is the latest tool offered, free of charge, by the UPU to designated postal operators from its 192 member countries. The tool assists in creating comprehensive reports on greenhouse gas emissions with 20 key carbon performance indicators that enable postal services to track their progress over time, benchmark their performance against industry averages and helps to set reduction targets and offset emissions.


DHL trials automated parcel picking trolley

DHL Supply Chain has completed a pilot project using automated robots to assist employees with order-picking tasks at a warehouse in Unna, Germany. Created by French startup, Effidence, the EffiBOT is a fully automated trolley that follows pickers through the warehouse undertaking any physically demanding tasks.
